Thanks, Pam, for sending me a reminder that I hadn't posted for a long time! My blogging to so many different blogs seems to have slowed down, and I really only post to my WP and myspace blogs. And sometimes to my Blogspot blog. Just too many blogs! :)

I am due for an update here though, as I can't remember if I even posted that I'm about to have two books-Beauty's Beast and One Night With You-published with The Wild Rose Press, Scarlet line. I've been writing in every spare moment, doing edits, and am going to be making book trailers soon as well. And I need to read! I can't sit down and finish a book in a couple of days anymore, but I do grab small chunks of time to read when I can.

I also recently got a mentor, Bettie Sharpe, and that's going great. I'm learning a lot and this is a really important part of my journey. :) And a special time!

You can see my books here or here or here.

I'm so glad to see the weather changing! It's sunny and 62 degrees here today!

I got a contract offer last night from The Wild Rose Press!
I'm signing with their Scarlet line, since Beauty's Beast is an erotic short.
I'm so excited!!

I had the weirdest dream; I dreamed that someone gave me a lampshade(but it wasn't really a lampshade because it was flat, square, and glass)and between the glass were little things, like notes, pieces of material, etc. that people had put in over the years.

My mom was there, she said that one of the things buried in the shade was an old piece of lace from some long gone relative.

I pulled out a piece of paper that I had drawn on when I was a kid, and somehow it got embedded in the shade with the rest of the stuff. On it I had drawn a rowboat, in which a figure-me-sat across from an elephant with a crown. Babar, for crying out loud? I dreamed about Babar the cartoon elephant? The crown seemed to be a bit different though, if it was really Babar in my dream. The crown on my elephant was silver and more like a tiara.

Anyway, we were rowing across this little pond, or lake, or some kind of body of water, and on the paper I had written the words, 'The end of the journey'.

The dream left me feeling a little sad.

My wrists still hurt, so I'm trying to rest them. I haven't typed at all today, except for three of my blogs. And a few emails. And a couple of times I chatted with someone on IM. But other than that, nothing. And I don't like it. I want to write! I have books to finish and time is wasting. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow.

Two months ago I was haunting the Brava contest forum after I'd submitted my entry, just kinda feeling lost. I'd never submitted anything before and had no idea what to do or who to talk to; I knew no other writers.

The forum was far from full, and I kept seeing one woman there. Finally I decided to get up the gumption to private message her. Shelli was incredible, and only later did I find out she was a DIVA. Eventually she gave me the link to the Romance Divas, and I slunk in there feeling WAY out of my element.

What business did I have in a forum such as this one? There were published writers there--famous writers!! And they know everything. Seriously. Everything.

Every time I started to make a move I'd pm Diva Lisa first. Is it okay if I ask this or say that, I'd ask her. And she answered me every time, encouraging me, explaining things to me, and just being the awesome person she is. If she laughed at me, I'm pretty sure it was a gentle laugh ;)

I posted, and these wonderful, intriguing, knowledgeable people posted back. At last, I felt like I was part of something. And oh my God the information! I LIVED in archives, devouring them like the little chocolate covered gold nuggets they were.

Before I found the Divas,  I was way less informed, and I was feeling lost and alone in the writing world.

Now, I'm not.

My thanks to these Divas who open their arms, who teach and laugh, who offer friendship, time and energy, insight, advice and encouragement.

I am proud to be a Diva.

The Divas are having an ATC swap soon, so I'm looking forward to that. I've been making new ATCs in preparation. It'll be great exchanging cards with them.

Fall is near! It doesn't feel like Fall here just yet; it's still too hot, but it's near. I am so glad. Some people have New Years resolutions, but I have Autumn resolutions ;) It's this time of year that I feel the best, and things just always seem brighter. Two months until Christmas! That's just amazing. Next month, I'll start decorating; usually by the end of November I have Thanksgiving decorations mixed in with Christmas decorations, with a few Halloween things still around. I'm terrible, I know;)

I've almost finished the short that isn't a short; I'll have to retitle it when it's finished, because it just turned into something completely different that what I started it out to be. And I still want to do a winter short for Freya's Bower. I meant for the short that isn't a short to be for FB, but it didn't turn out that way. Sometimes that happens. Anyway, now it's a novella and nearing the end. Yay!

I opened a PO box, and also received the graphics tablet I'd ordered. I submitted a fairy tale type fantasy, and started a new m/s. I have a few of them in the works.

I still haven't found a dog, or bought the belly dancing dvds I've been wanting, but I'll get to it:)

I'm enjoying the new season of House, which was on tonight. I'm really looking forward to December so that I can buy last seasons Lost and 24 DVD boxsets. Can't wait!

That's about all the updating I have, and if you've followed the links to my other blogs, this isn't updating at all, just...boringly redundant :)

I've been writing so much that I haven't been blogging nearly enough!
I do have updates on my writing blog here, and my blog here. I did the Thursday Thirteen today, as well.
Check them out! There are lots of great links to other TTs, too.

Before long I'll have my completely overhauled website up, and I love it. It's very cool! I'll post a notice on all my blogs when it's ready, and I hope everybody will come visit.  :)
