Updates and Books
Thanks, Pam, for sending me a reminder that I hadn't posted for a long time! My blogging to so many different blogs seems to have slowed down, and I really only post to my WP and myspace blogs. And sometimes to my Blogspot blog. Just too many blogs! :)

I am due for an update here though, as I can't remember if I even posted that I'm about to have two books-Beauty's Beast and One Night With You-published with The Wild Rose Press, Scarlet line. I've been writing in every spare moment, doing edits, and am going to be making book trailers soon as well. And I need to read! I can't sit down and finish a book in a couple of days anymore, but I do grab small chunks of time to read when I can.

I also recently got a mentor, Bettie Sharpe, and that's going great. I'm learning a lot and this is a really important part of my journey. :) And a special time!

You can see my books here or here or here.

I'm so glad to see the weather changing! It's sunny and 62 degrees here today!

Contract!
I got a contract offer last night from The Wild Rose Press!
I'm signing with their Scarlet line, since Beauty's Beast is an erotic short.
I'm so excited!!

Dream...
I had the weirdest dream; I dreamed that someone gave me a lampshade(but it wasn't really a lampshade because it was flat, square, and glass)and between the glass were little things, like notes, pieces of material, etc. that people had put in over the years.

My mom was there, she said that one of the things buried in the shade was an old piece of lace from some long gone relative.

I pulled out a piece of paper that I had drawn on when I was a kid, and somehow it got embedded in the shade with the rest of the stuff. On it I had drawn a rowboat, in which a figure-me-sat across from an elephant with a crown. Babar, for crying out loud? I dreamed about Babar the cartoon elephant? The crown seemed to be a bit different though, if it was really Babar in my dream. The crown on my elephant was silver and more like a tiara.

Anyway, we were rowing across this little pond, or lake, or some kind of body of water, and on the paper I had written the words, 'The end of the journey'.

The dream left me feeling a little sad.

My wrists still hurt, so I'm trying to rest them. I haven't typed at all today, except for three of my blogs. And a few emails. And a couple of times I chatted with someone on IM. But other than that, nothing. And I don't like it. I want to write! I have books to finish and time is wasting. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow.

Those Divas...
Two months ago I was haunting the Brava contest forum after I'd submitted my entry, just kinda feeling lost. I'd never submitted anything before and had no idea what to do or who to talk to; I knew no other writers.

The forum was far from full, and I kept seeing one woman there. Finally I decided to get up the gumption to private message her. Shelli was incredible, and only later did I find out she was a DIVA. Eventually she gave me the link to the Romance Divas, and I slunk in there feeling WAY out of my element.

What business did I have in a forum such as this one? There were published writers there--famous writers!! And they know everything. Seriously. Everything.

Every time I started to make a move I'd pm Diva Lisa first. Is it okay if I ask this or say that, I'd ask her. And she answered me every time, encouraging me, explaining things to me, and just being the awesome person she is. If she laughed at me, I'm pretty sure it was a gentle laugh ;)

I posted, and these wonderful, intriguing, knowledgeable people posted back. At last, I felt like I was part of something. And oh my God the information! I LIVED in archives, devouring them like the little chocolate covered gold nuggets they were.

Before I found the Divas,  I was way less informed, and I was feeling lost and alone in the writing world.

Now, I'm not.

My thanks to these Divas who open their arms, who teach and laugh, who offer friendship, time and energy, insight, advice and encouragement.

I am proud to be a Diva.

Rambling, Pretty Much :)
The Divas are having an ATC swap soon, so I'm looking forward to that. I've been making new ATCs in preparation. It'll be great exchanging cards with them.

Fall is near! It doesn't feel like Fall here just yet; it's still too hot, but it's near. I am so glad. Some people have New Years resolutions, but I have Autumn resolutions ;) It's this time of year that I feel the best, and things just always seem brighter. Two months until Christmas! That's just amazing. Next month, I'll start decorating; usually by the end of November I have Thanksgiving decorations mixed in with Christmas decorations, with a few Halloween things still around. I'm terrible, I know;)

I've almost finished the short that isn't a short; I'll have to retitle it when it's finished, because it just turned into something completely different that what I started it out to be. And I still want to do a winter short for Freya's Bower. I meant for the short that isn't a short to be for FB, but it didn't turn out that way. Sometimes that happens. Anyway, now it's a novella and nearing the end. Yay!

I opened a PO box, and also received the graphics tablet I'd ordered. I submitted a fairy tale type fantasy, and started a new m/s. I have a few of them in the works.

I still haven't found a dog, or bought the belly dancing dvds I've been wanting, but I'll get to it:)

I'm enjoying the new season of House, which was on tonight. I'm really looking forward to December so that I can buy last seasons Lost and 24 DVD boxsets. Can't wait!

That's about all the updating I have, and if you've followed the links to my other blogs, this isn't updating at all, just...boringly redundant :)

Update and TT
I've been writing so much that I haven't been blogging nearly enough!
I do have updates on my writing blog here, and my blog here. I did the Thursday Thirteen today, as well.
Check them out! There are lots of great links to other TTs, too.

Before long I'll have my completely overhauled website up, and I love it. It's very cool! I'll post a notice on all my blogs when it's ready, and I hope everybody will come visit.  :)

Catching up!
I finished another m/s and sent it to Samhain, so now I'll just have to wait and see how that goes. I have a couple of shorts I want to finish up and send in, then I'm going to concentrate on a novel. With shorts and novellas, there is that instant gratification you get from writing THE END and shooting it off to a publisher.

I also joined Bebo, which I'd never heard of until yesterday. It's like MySpace, only...not. I may also get a facebook account, because I want to be everywhere ;)

The Brava contest ends at the end of this month, and so many great authors have entered. It's going to be a tough one!

Links and an update
I'm in the middle of writing two shorts, one novella, a new full length novel, and a partridge in a pear tree ;)
Anyway, it's been a very busy time since I last posted an entry here.

I did do my Thursday Thirteen here, and be sure to visit my writing blog here.

I'm going to do some updating to my website today, and try to finish a short that is nearing the end.

The street outside my house is totally empty. There is no movement whatsoever, not even a cat! Now that school has started back, there are no kids out playing, at least not until sometime in the evening.

ATCs
I did some drawings for my ATCs and you can see them on my website here

Other than that, I haven't been doing a whole lot. I haven't been writing as much because for the last couple of days I've been filled with self doubt! I've been doing research though, so it hasn't been a total loss.

I hope to shake it off soon.

Dreams and Updates
The past couple of days, I've been working on my website a lot. Celia Kyle made the header and matching banner, and my son made the green banner for me. I love them all!

I'm hoping to hear something from EC soon about the second submission; the first one they sent to the acquiring editor. Keeping my fingers crossed! Also keeping an eye on the Brava forum, because that's where I submitted the novella for the contest.

I had a bad dream last night. You know the sort of dream I'm talking about; if you quit smoking, you smoke in your dream and lose your quit. If you're on a diet, you eat in your dream and ruin your diet. Well, in this dream, I was handed a couple of big folders of my manuscripts, and they had big, angry red marker lines all over them! The editor wrote on the pages that the manuscripts were awful, and that I couldn't write. Boy, was I ever glad to be out of THAT dream!

There are so many amazing people that I've been 'meeting.' Mostly from Romance Divas. I asked them for help coming up with a slogan/catchphrase/tagline and from the suggestions, I've pretty much chosen Feel the Fantasy and Your Fantasy, My Litereality

As I've said on my other blogs, if anyone has any more great suggestions, feel free to let me know:)

ATCs
I spent a lot of time yesterday cutting up cards on which to draw, so I can be one of the many who make the ever popular Artist Trading Cards. I first heard of these from DDD, and thought it would be fun to make up some of my own.
I'll put some of them on my website when I get time. Fun, fun!

Also spent some time writing my novella, Sweet Assassin, which I neglected a bit while trying to finish Amethyst Eyes. I sent out Amethyst Eyes a few days ago; book, blurb, synopsis, and all.

I also joined the Romance Divas, which you probably already know if you read my other blogs.

Back to work with me! I'm happy to be getting an early start on my book today. I want to watch Disturbia tonight. Anyone watched it? It looked like a good movie, and got good reviews on IMDb.

Still Building
My website is coming along, I've been working on it alot. Still I run into problems; sometimes it looks right in Firefox and crappy in Explorer.
I personally only use Firefox, but I know that a lot of people still use Explorer, so I have to make sure the site looks good in both browsers.

I'm still not finished with the short, but so dang close that all I want to do is just finish it, but not quite yet. :)

I'm sure I posted my website in an earlier post, but I'll post it again just in case. Visit and sign the guestbook and let me know you were there! My site is here.

Updating At Last!
I haven't written to this blog for quite awhile; to be honest, I have another blog that I post nearly the same stuff on, only more of it, and myspace and a website, as well, so sometimes the blogs get away from me.

I'm currently working on another fantasy novella, a short erotic fantasy romance, and a novel length fantasy. I am getting my first novella ready for submission, and have submitted recently my quickie erotic romance.

I'm also getting my website started, and lord, there just aren't enough hours. I recently joined myspace, and I hope you all will visit; my page is here. It's fairly new, so there isn't a lot of content on the page, or a lot of friends, but give me a minute. :)

Once I get my website up, I'm going to be doing another blog, devoted entirely to writing, and it will be on my website.

I also want to post some excerpts from my manuscripts on my site, I think that'll be fun.

I've been totally immersed today in research and also visiting lots and lots of writing sites, blogs, forums, and the like.

I'll be writing more on this blog from now on, and updating it as often as possible. And I still have the new HP book here, and I'm very much looking forward to reading it. I've been trying to avoid any mention of it online as I don't want to accidentally run into any spoilers ;)

I'm off; though it's past my bedtime, I still have a few more things to do.
Goodnight, everyone!:)

When Sisters Attack
I've been writing like mad, and I am THIS close to finishing up the novella! Woohoo!
I usually write on the novella during the day, and the short late at night, like, from right around now until I fall over from exhaustion.
My sister has been reading my novella; I send her chapters as I finish them. She gets mad at me a lot because of the end of chapter cliffhangers, for one thing, and for writing things she doesn't want to see happen to certain characters.
You're not supposed to let family critique your work, but my sister, she isn't one to take it easy on me just because I'm related to her.
Her sincere interest in the books and her dismay at the ends of chapters are good things. I try to crank out at the very least a chapter a day for both books nowadays, and usually more, since the writing is just flowing, but heaven forbid I should skip a day or two! She knows where I live! ;)
She lives a couple of hours away, so that's good, else she'd be standing over me with a whip yelling 'Write, write! You don't need to eat!' Actually she does that now, but via phone, so that makes it easier to get away from her. I can hang up the phone. Ha ;)

Tonight was Kathy Griffin night on TV. She's always fun to watch.
I tried watching Paula Abdul's new reality show one time, but I didn't get into it. Maybe I'll give it another try soon. She makes me a nervous wreck though, trying to figure out what she's saying, and I feel like poking sticks in my own ears sometimes when it takes her twenty minutes to just spit out a sentence! And no, that's not her fault, she's not trying to make my ears bleed, but still.

A couple of days ago, I emailed Daisy Dexter Dobbs, to ask her some writing questions. She emailed me back the next day, a huge response, and I just think that was so great.
Look her up! She has a blog and you just might find you love her books. Hey, she also writes erotic romance ;) She's a fantastic, funny, helpful, lively lady, and it shows in her books.

I'm off to finish my own late night erotic romance...I can't believe how quickly it is coming along, just as quickly as the novella.
That's the good thing about writing so much. :)

Goodnight everybody!
